ABOUT

Hello! Thank you for getting in touch! Convivial Production, Inc. is a small batch production company that specializes in home decor, dinnerware and garden products. All of our items are designed and made in America using age-old ceramic processes. Established in 2014, we now retail in 40+ brick and mortar stores, ranging across 15+ states. Our products are inspired and designed after the notion of conviviality, i.e. the joining of people to eat, to drink, and to be well with one another. Simply put, we work to create goods that inspire our customers towards conviviality - hospitality, gathering, social vitality, festivity. We make the items used for serving + dining as well as the surrounding decor that sets the scene for gathering.

If you are looking to become a retailer please contact Chentell Shannon via e-mail at convivial production@gmail.com

Looking forward to connecting and working together!

who we are

Convivial Production is a production + design company that labors over the creation of ceramic-made home, table and garden wares. The company began in 2014 as a one woman show, wheel-throwing out of a home garage, and now operates out of a 2.5k sq/ft production space where each piece is brought from dust to life thanks to six talented and hard working women. All of our designs are dreamed up by our founder Chentell Shannon and are continually inspired by the notion of conviviality - the joining of individuals to eat, to drink and to share good company.  Our mission is to create functional wares that inspire our customers towards hospitality, social vitality, conviviality and our mission is to do so beautifully. You can view these wares by entering our Shop to explore our Home + Table + Garden lines.

A number of the pieces in our lines are made by slip casting, where a watery clay, or slip, is used to create a form from a plaster mold.

Once each piece has been casted or thrown, then cleaned and glazed, the final step is to fire the it in our kilns at a high heat to mature our signature semi-matte white glaze - you can see here a kiln load of structured ivory votives.
